LOARA HIGH SCHOOL WINS CALIFORNIA HOT RODDERS OF TOMORROW TITLE
The Hedman Performance Group wishes to congratulate the Engine build team from Loara High School in Anaheim, California on their California Engine Challenge Championship.
The five person team outperformed the competing schools to become California's Engine build champions. These young men tore-down and re-built their engine in 82 Minutes and 20 seconds, more than 15 minutes quicker than the 2nd place team. The win earned the Loara High School Crew a trip to the 2009 SEMA Show to compete against the regional winners for an overall Champion.
"I have a strong affinity for any program that educates our kids, and helps focus their energy and idle time on safe, productive projects. I am glad that the Hedman Performance Group feels the same way and supports excellent programs, like the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge."

WHAT IS THE HOT RODDERS OF TOMORROW ENGINE CHALLENGE?
Hot rodders of tomorrow is an educational program aimed at auto technology high school students that pits them against other schools in a head-to-head engine build competition.
Each team is made up of five members, and each team is given an identical hi-performance 350cid Chevy that has been "Dressed out" with all the goodies; 4 BBL carbs, Competition Cams Camshafts, Edelbrock intakes and cylinder heads, Hedman Hedders, MSD ignition components, Trans-Dapt Chrome engine accessories and more! These are REAL high performance powerplants, just like you would find in muscle cars and hot rods at events across the nation.
TICK-TICK-TICK
The clock is ticking for the competitors as they tear down, then reassemble their engines using hand tools. The adrenaline really starts to flow as they realize that they are being judged by officials and being cheered on by the live audience. The team that disassembles and reassembles the engine in the shortest length of time wins. BUT...be very careful. There are strict rules, and teams will be penalized for rules infractions, which will add time to the overall score, and could cost a team the win.
The program has regional events, and the winning team from each event will go to the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas this November and compete to be the overall champion for 2009.
