We are sad to announce the passing of long time Hedman Hedders employee, Jim Wical. Jim, passed away this past weekend in his sleep. He was 65 years old.
Jim was a dedicated employee of the company for just shy of 30 years. As the Hedman Hedders race director, Jim spent many weekends at the track with racers, and most of his weekdays on the phone with racers. Well known for his no nonsense approach, Jim was always ready to do whatever he could to assist Racers. Any racer or team who has dealt with Hedman or Hedman Husler Hedders surely knows who he is, and the support he provided racers and race teams during his nearly 3 decades with the company. After dozens of race seasons, SEMA Shows and PRI Shows, Jim entered the world of retirement at the beginning of 2008.
"Jim was purely an old school performance guy with a great sense of humor", comments, Ron Funfar, President of the Hedman Performance Group, "but when it came to getting the job done, we knew that we could always count on his being there. Jim was a familiar face to all of us here at the Hedman Performance group and around the industry, and he will be missed."
