It is no secret that tuners can alter their engine torque's sweet spot imply by increasing or decreasing the length plenum beneath the carburetor. To lengthen the plenum, simply install a carburetor spacer. For years, carb spacers have mainly been available in 1" or 2" tall varieties.
This spacer has been designed specifically for use on DUAL PLANE intake manifolds. The left 2 left and 2 right plenums have been isolated, to ensure you maintain the integrity of the dual plane design. In addition to the 1-1/2" tall design offering builders and drag aracers another level of tunability, the special, tapered port design of this Torque-Flow carburetor spacer, provides the benefit of a venturi effect to increase intake speed and improve the spacer's ability to produce torque.
Hamburger's precision CNC machines this spacer in their Whittier, California manufacturing facilty using 6061-T6 aluminum, then giving a durable clear anoziding to protect it from the harsh engine bay elements. Hamburger's includes all the necessary gaskets and longer mounting hardware to accomodate the taller carburetor position. The spacer is designed with 8 mounting holes so it can be used with both Holley and AFB 4 bbl carburetors on a Dual-Plane, 4 barrel intake manifold. This spacer is backed by a limited lifetime warranty!
Gaskets require slight modification for use with dual-plane applications.
