BILLET Aluminum, MULTI-POSITION, Engine Oil Filter Integration System For Aftermarket Steel or Fabricated Aluminum LS Swap Oil Pans With -10AN Ports; Includes Remote Filter Base, Braided Oil Lines, AN Fittings, Reducers, Hose End Ferrules.
When performing an LS engine swap, the use of an aftermarket, steel or fabricated aluminum oil pan usually provides better cross member, component and ground clearance than GM's factory, cast aluminum pan. While using one of these oil pans can solve many of your LS engine installation challenges, it does create a new hurdle that must be addressed. GM integrated the oil filter mounting flange and passageways into the factory cast LS pan, and most aftermarket steel pans do not include provisions to spin-on an engine oil filter. In short ?Replace the factory, cast aluminum LS pan, and you?ll need to formulate a plan to integrate an oil filter into your oiling system.
This special oil filter relocation system is specifically developed for use with aftermarket LS engine oil pans that have a pair of -10AN male fittings built into the oil pan rails.
Unlike Trans-Dapt's other oil filter relocation kits, these oil filter relocation systems do not include a filter bypass adapter.
To install the system, simply mount the remote filter base in a secure, easy to reach location, attach the 90 degree aluminum fittings to the -10AN fittings on your oil pan, then run the hi-temp, hi-pressure, braided hoses between the pan and remote filter base. The right angle design of the fittings runs the lines parallel with the engine block for a compact installation. Three different kit are available, each with a distinct remote filter base. This system has Hamburger's proprietary design multi-position remote filter base. This unique remote filter base can be rotated 180 degrees, allowing you to clock the oil line ports to work in virtually any installation scenario.
